Queen Creek Criminal Defense Attorney

Work With a Board Certified Criminal Defense Attorney

The Town of Queen Creek was incorporated in 1989 and is a growing community located about 40 miles southeast of Phoenix. Queen Creek is primarily situated in Maricopa County, but a portion of the town’s southern and eastern sections extend into Pinal County. While this community has seen a lot of growth and development, including new housing communities as well as shopping and restaurants, it still has that Arizona small town feel with a population of approximately 70,000 residents. The Queen Creek Unified School District serves most students in the town along with a handful of charter schools in the area as well.

A local favorite in the Town of Queen Creek is Schnepf Farms, a family-owned working farm and the largest organic peach grower in AZ. Visitors can enjoy all sorts of family oriented events, such as peach picking, farm festivals, seasonal ice-skating activities, car shows, a Thai lantern festival, peach blossom celebration with trolley rides and many other events that take place at the farm throughout the year.

Queen Creek, AZ

Until recently, the Town of Queen Creek did not have its own police department but instead contracted with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) to provide law enforcement services to the portions of town within Maricopa County. The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) provides law enforcement services to the areas of town that extend into Pinal County. However, as of January of 2022, Queen Creek now has its own police department which services the Town of Queen Creek (not including unincorporated areas, which are still serviced by MCSO and PCSO). As the population has increased, so have the number of calls for service law enforcement receives each year. According to Town statistics, there has been a nearly 50% increase in calls for service from 2010 to 2018, with many of those calls including requests for welfare checks, reports of suspicious activity and neighborhood disturbances. There was a total of 509 adult arrests and 58 juvenile arrests in 2018. The most common adult arrests in 2018 included assault, criminal damage, disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, shopliftingDUI and driving on a suspended license. The most common juvenile arrests in 2018 included criminal damage, assault, and shoplifting.
